Our puppy preschool program is carefully designed to start your puppy off on the right paw. A puppy forms attitudes and opinions between the ages of 2 and 5 months that will last the rest of her life.
You will learn learn not only about socialization, but also about setting limits your puppy will understand. Puppy preschool activities prevent a number of potential problems including: irrational fear of objects or people, antisocial behavior, difficulty with nail trimming, and stressful vet visits.
Each group class includes the following
- Question & Answer – We recognize that each puppy is an individual and each household is unique. This is an opportunity to get answers about the specific challenges you and your puppy face.
- Confidence Building – We will show you how to safely socialize your puppy around strange objects.
- Handling Exercises – Your puppy will learn to accept handling and restraint.
- Educational Topics – A number of topics for your dog’s continued health will be discussed. These include grooming, dental care, and creating a canine first aid kit.
- Basic Training: sit, down, and come.
Puppies should begin preschool as close to 8 weeks old as possible, but no older than 14 weeks. All puppies must be healthy and have proof of all required vaccinations before attending class.
