Puppy Preschool A dog's personality is determined by his breed characteristics and parentage but almost equally by his experiences during the first few months of life. The ideal "socialization period" is from 8 weeks to 16 weeks old. A puppy needs many positive experiences before five months of age to promote a confident, friendly adult personality.
At Flying Colors, we feel very confident referring puppy parents to Melissa Moore's Puppy Preschool class. Her Puppy Preschool is open to puppies from 8 to 16 weeks old and consists of five classes on a rotational basis; a puppy can join the class at any week throughout the rotation. Topics covered include manners, housebreaking, basic commands, socialization, and appropriate play. Contact Melissa for more information or to sign up: pvvcpuppypreschool@yahoo.com.
If you feel that your puppy has issues that are better addressed in a private training session, feel free to contact Flying Colors at (260)490-8386.
