Where Obedience is a Way of Life
Group Class Schedule
These classes are by invitation only to dog/handler teams who are ready to practice around extensive distractions.
New Group Class Session starting June 14
Starting in the new session, clients will pay for group classes by the session. The cost is $99 for 6 classes. We are hoping this improves attendance. Sign up via phone or email and pay on June 14.
Group classes will focus on working around distractions, Canine Good Citizen test items, and Rally-O games. Most dogs who have completed an FCCA program or 6 private lessons are eligible to join the fun!
Group Classes are at 1 pm at Pampered Pets on the following Saturdays:
June 14, June 21, July 5, July 19, July 26, August 9
Good Dog Gazette Publishing Soon
Flying Colors has a brand new newsletter! "Good Dog Gazette" will publish via email monthly starting on June 1. We intend the newsletter to be a useful way to keep clients and other interested parties informed of Flying Colors events and dog-friendly advice. Use the link on our homepage to join the email list.
Animal Attractions on PBS
Flying Colors is a local sponsor of Animal Attractions on PBS. The show airs on Saturdays from 4 to 4:30 pm. Tune in early to catch our spot. Thanks again to all of the clients who took time out of their day to bring their dogs to the shoot. The finished product looks great!
New HeadQuarters Up and Running
After many delays, the new HQ building is finally operational. The Training Room is completed and toasty warm through this chilly Indiana winter. The second half of the 1700 square foot building should be completed by May. The new section will include a kennel area, lobby, and office. Thanks to all of our Flying Colors clients for your patience while we complete construction.
Canine Good Citizen Test is a Success!
Flying Colors held their first CGC test on September 13. We would like to congratulate all participants on a job well done. The dogs were all happy and healthy. Special kudos to Koda Bear and Luke (as well as their humans) on passing all ten test items. Enjoy your CGC status!
Thanks to the Collapsing Circle
Many thanks to the nine volunteers who made the Collapsing Circle exercise possible on September 2. The Collapsing Circle is a series of exercises designed to help dogs who are shy around new people to overcome their fears. Both dogs who went through the Circle on September 2 did wonderfully. Many volunteers expressed their surprise; there was a noticeable, positive difference in each dog's behavior after the Circle. The progress would not have been possible without our fabulous volunteers. Thank you!
